Brendan Buckley and the team were contracted to construct a courtyard garden to also incorporate a children’s garden. The project involved a mix of hard and soft landscape works with a total value of circa €70K.
The hard works included ducting, cabling, installation of control panels and all electrical connections to allow for spot lights and up-lighters throughout the landscaped area. Further hard works comprised the construction of Ballylusk gravel paths, paved areas, railway sleepers to create raised beds and the fitting of timber benches and feature timber planters.
The soft landscaping element of the project added Taxus bacatta (Yew) topiary and hedging, Buxus (Box) balls, climbing plants including clematis and honeysuckle, scented shrubs like jasmine, daphne and rosemary, a herb garden, espalier fruit trees and a mature specimen Prunus kanzan (Pink Flowering Cherry) tree.
